El Paraiso Ensemble, Papir & Causa Sui @ Roskilde Festival 2012 The great guys at El Paraiso Records has released a number of songs from a sleazy and fantastic sunday at Roskilde Festival 2012.. I had the honour of doing the Front of House for this lengthy Psych-Rock marathon and enjoyed every minute of it. There's a pair of highlights below, but more songs are available on youtube. Also don't forget that Papir has a new release out. over at http://www.elparaisorecords.com/ I am going on tour with The Shaking Sensations in march-april 2013.
We'll be touring most of central europe for a month and I can hardly wait. Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland -Here we come. From march 28, 2013 - april 27, 2013. Exact dates and venues will follow soon! It's not everyday the Engineer get's mentioned in a review, and it's usually only when something went wrong.
But I really enjoyed this exception. I did the Front of House with a tripple act, Narrows, Bear Claw and Trust at Stengade Copenhagen and what great bands all of them. But the point comes in this review that mentions: "A very big salute to Stengade for exceptionally great sound during the whole evening". Well thank you very much! The article is in Danish http://gaffa.dk/anmeldelse/49391 This update features two different live recordings with The Shaking Sensations. An old case from Zagreb 2011 and a quite new recording from Post Fest in Aarhus 2012 Enjoy -D So here goes my first update from my tour with the Shaking Sensations, tonight we're playing in Freiburg, Germany with German band The Hirsch Effect. Tonight is going to be a real quickie, there's no hitting the bars this evening as we are leaving for Zagreb late this night, a 12 hour killer drive, and that is not including stops and breaks on the route. Hopefully the drive will allow many sleeping hours. But after two weeks of touring and a lot of late nights at bars, maybe skipping one night once in a while will be healthy and wise choice. Touring with the Shaking Sensations has once again been a really fun experience and with visiting a very diverse venues, it's quite a learning experience as well. Especially playing in the squats we're visiting, it can be real great challenge working around faults in the PA and weird setups. But somehow we always work our way around and all shows has been great so far. But seeing the how fans reacts to the music and how people outside Denmark can be a really grateful crowd to play for, is very moving. Especially with the band being old friends of mine. But now it seems like it's time for my soundcheck, so this update ends here. I'll make sure to get some pictures for the next blog, but right now they are still stuck in the cameras. So take a listen to the great great recordings from the Aarhus Lydstudie, from the debut album, East of Youth Best regards -Daniel Daniel Hello World, I have finally settled for what seems as the fastest, best and easiest solution for my new homepage.
